Ask to do a show about military families dealing with deployment. One of the reaons I wrote these books was to help educate civilians and the mainstream population about the experience military families go through in order to encourage their support and compassion. Oprah's show is an excellent venue for addressing such topics to the mainstream world. If you agree, e-mail Oprah's staff and tell them your stories and ask them to help the military community become a little better understood and a little less invisible.
